These were a high end model and feature a 5pc maple body with a 6th piece slotted through for a pancake neck-through style construction. Sleek rounded edges and some great grain make this a stunning instrument.

      By ths time, Epiphone had moved production to Japan and chose Aria as its contractor. As a subcontractor to Aria, Matsumoku manufactured all Epiphone guitars until the 1980's. Early Matsumoku Epiphones were considered by most as inferior guitars compared to the earlier USA models.
